When shopping for one of our Fennells-made leather belts, please follow these instructions to ensure the proper size:
Use a tape measure to measure from the inside tip of the buckle (A) to the hole that is being used (B). (That may not be the center hole as is shown in the diagram above. Your worn hole should be obvious by the buckle mark on the belt.)
If you are only able to provide pants size, we typically add 2″ to arrive at an estimated belt size. *Note that using ‘pants size plus 2 inches’ will not always arrive at the correct size…”These days”, pants aren’t always sized correctly. The foolproof way to size for our leather belts is to measure an existing belt as described above.
What if the belt I ordered doesn’t fit?
We are able to move your personalized nameplate from the belt that doesn’t fit to a new belt with your corrected size. There is an associated charge of $8.50 for this service, plus any return shipping costs. While we don’t like to pass further costs along to you, the best way to avoid size exchanges is by following the above instructions to properly measure an existing belt.
If you must return a belt to be exchanged for the correct size, we only ask that you treat your return as something that will be resold as new. If you try on the belt “too hard,” creasing on the leather will make the belt difficult for us to sell again. Please do not return the belt wound up into a tight spiral, as same creasing will make that strap hard to sell as new. We reserve the right to discount any belt that is returned with excessive handling, such as described above.
